Suggestions for holiday please help :)

Hi there,

I was wondering if you guys could give me a few suggestions on where i could travel.

I am 12 weeks pregnant so me and my partner want to go on our 'last' holiday together.

I am 28 weeks on or around the 9th of may so i know that i can not travel after that, i've also found out from the doctors that i can not travel to anywhere like India or Africa as i can not have the vaccinations such as yellow fever and malaria.

So i was looking to you guys to give me some suggestions, we want somewhere nice and warm / hot, probably travelling in March or April.

We are not beachy people so can't think of anything worse than sitting on our butts all day every day but a coupleof days is not too bad!

We want to preferably go for 2 weeks.

Will not go to the canary islands under any instance, been once never again :D but was thinking maybe the carribean would be ok

Please help as we are running out of ideas

How about the Paradors of Spain - the weather in Spring is lovely, and all Paradors are situated in places of interest, whether in a city or National Park, and are often historic buildings like castles.http://www.paradores-spain.com/

and you can choose how long to stay in anyone. Its definately not the sort of holiday you'd ever do with kids!

Or how about a Spa holiday, and a bit of serious pampering - I think there is a lovely one on Cyprus?

The Carribean is lovely - but isn't it all about beaches and cocktails?

Morrocco or Florida (Miami/Keys/Everglades/great Dali museum) or Croatia (Dubrovnik plus many amazing islands.
And if, you know, your history...

The problem with the Carib is that a lot of the places do need either injections or tablets. With you being pregnant, and I appreciate you and your partner wish to spend that last bit of freedom together, would you not be best say looking for say some sort of spa break in Europe?

    Thanks for the suggestions guys,

I was only looking at the Carribean as i thought that the weather in Europe would still be quite cold.

The only places i thought would be still hot was the Canary islands.

I've stayed in a total of 4 hotels all 4* and 5* in Mexico, and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone pregnant. As it's all-inclusive the food can be dodgy, and almost everyone got tummy problems at some time. The flight is also a very long 12 hours on a charter flight.

If you do travel long haul make sure it's schedule.
