Argos Direct

Just wanted to say how impressed I have been with Argos.
I was one of the many who ordered in the Argos sale who had their internet order "lost" in their system.

Six weeks later, I got an email stating they thought they had lost my order, but if I had proof that I had placed an order they would honour it at the promotional price.
When I contacted them, of course the item was out of stock and probably discontinued.
However after a number of weeks of discussion, they suggested I buy an alternative item from the local store, and Argos direct will then refund me the difference.
I emailed them my receipt and I got written confirmation of the cheque they are sending me, which has been promised to me by Wednesday.

Well done Argos, as I know legally they were not bound to do this.
