DISCOUNTS with Dell

For anyone who is buying goods from Dell, a number of us have discovered that it is easily possible to achieve discounts of at least 10%.
Step 1: Buy online via the quidco site.
Step 2: On receipt of the goods ring up and say you have changed your mind and that you want to return the goods and obtain a full refund. Clause 19 of their Terms and Conditions, which reiterates the rights of a Consumer laid down in the Distance Selling Regulations, provides that you have a legal right to do this.
They may ask you why you want to reject the goods, but as long as you say that you have seen a cheaper deal elsewhere, or just say that your spec requirements have changed, then they will offer to knock money off.
I had £30 knocked off a £650 laptop but I did not push them to see if I could have achieved a greater discount.
All in all, it is surprisingly easy - I have saved about £60 just through doing this.
