Having problems with a 'cancelled' vodafone contract, I called the companyback in september to cancel, and they told me to write to a address telling them I wanted to cancel the contract, the irony of having to write to a telecommunications company in order to cancel a contract, thought nothing more of it, so went to singapore to start my new job, when my parents tell me a couple of months later I was still getting bills from vodafone, contacted them at the said they didnt recieve the first letter and would have to send them another, did that sent it to the head of customer mismanagement, still got a bill in dec, so I called them, told him that I wasnt going to be paying the bills as I had informed them that I wanted to cancel in september, he said some crap about this was my final bill, and asked me if it said final bill, it was headed your vodafone bill, and this month I have recieved another bill, I guess for this month and the previous months I havent paid for, cant open the letter as I am in singapore, and I dont really know what to do next, definately do not want to pay for four months line rental, for a cancel contract

Have you got records of the letters sent to them (including proof of the posting, ideally also the receiving), phone calls made to follow it up, etc.?"Part P" is not, and has never been, an accredited electrical qualification. It is a Building Regulation. No one can be "Part P qualified."

ideally these things should be sent recorded delivery or a delivery that vodafone would sign for.
better chances of no problem with this than on a e.g. 1st class stamp
how did you send it?0 -
Vodaphone do things like this. I cancelled two phones by post (in the same letter). One got cancelled and the other didn't. Said they had no record of the cancellation request for the other phone!!! You have to double check that they have got your cancellation letter.0

I am having problems with vodafone but not the same as you. I transferred from Vodafone to Orange in August and I am still getting service messages from Vodafone as I kept my number! Also as when big brother was on last time I had free vodafone updates I am still getting them even though I am with Orange and I am powerless to stop them, I have tried several times and have given up now as my health is bad enough without all the added pressure!Weight Loss - 102lb0

I didnt send the letters by registered mail nor do I have any records of calls made, I dont think they would have been too happy if I recorded the converstaion without mentioning the fact, I was bit too busy with moving, unfortunately, although I doubt it would have matter, I could have sent a letter every day telling them I wanted to cancel my contract, but I doubt if they would have recieved any of them it probably all ends up in one big bin, the stupidty of writing to a phone company to cancel a contract, or maybe its a deliberate ploy,0
