hi there wonderful techie people!
I am trying to help my mum get a new laptop from laptops direct (via quidco!) she really only uses it for email, photos and reports and searching on the net but thats pretty much it. Can anyone reccomend a good basic one? Many thanks in advance!

This is pretty decent from PC World for £399. Just don't let them sell you any service contracts, extended warranties or insurance.
The Toshiba Pro L300 looks OK too, from Laptops Direct at £329. Adding an extra 1Gb of RAM would be worthwhile, though, but you can always do that later.0 -
