Argos Discount codes thread

Had to order a fair few things from Argos online over the past week or so and, being the sensible Moneysaver that I am, I split the orders down so each order would earn me an Argos £5 / £10 voucher for spending over £50 / £100 without the orders being much over £50 / £100 each.

Had no problems with any of the orders or receiving the vouchers until two orders I placed on Sunday evening. After placing the order I received a message on screen along the lines of "we have been unable to fully process your order at this current time. We will e-mail you soon".

Called Argos yesterday to check they had received my orders and they had but had still not received the voucher codes or even a confirmation e-mail. When I enquired about this the guy I spoke to said I should receive them by the end of the day as there was a big backlog.

Still no e-mails today (good job I had the sense to phone them to check they had received the order as they are due today!) so I telephoned them just now and the lady said I would receive my e-mails within 7 to 14 days!!!!

Is anybody else in the same boat as me at all with these vouchers? Why do companies put on promotions without the infrastructure in place to handle them :mad::mad::mad: it's not as if this is the first time Argos is running this promotion.

I just wondered if anyone knew if there are any working Argos codes?

I've heard there is a few 15% ones around, and as I'm spending about £300 :eek: on student stuff, every little would help!!
