Hi,
Im in the middle of a paypal claim, I bought a large item which turned out to be faulty, seller wouldn't reply til I started a paypal dispute and then had to raise it to a claim, to which she replied she'd refund me if I sent the item back at my own cost, I booked a courier (DHL) through eBay for the 30th, didn't turn up, was told it was rescheduled to 31st, didn't turn up, told it was rescheduled to the 2nd Jan, today my parcel still hasn't been collected!
If I don't send it before the 6th I lose the paypal claim and am down £100, I'm loathe to re-schdeule again for the monday incase I am let down again...does anyone know any reasonably priced couriers who do 24-48 hour delivery?
TIA!

Is it too big to take to a Post Office, stick it on Parcel Force 48 hours tomorrow?A friend is someone who understands your past, believes in your future, and accepts you just the way you are.0

Do Staples still do a courier service?
I remember using them a while back.0 -

do all post offices do parcelforce? How much does it cost? I've already spent money on this $£%^ courier, its going to end up costing me a fortune! I'm just very wary of DHL now, can't believe this has happened! I can see me losing my money and the parcel at this rate! Thanks so much for your replies!0

I just phoned staples, the biggest size they send is 30X40X40 I need 30X30X100cm.

It's very unlikely that it is the fault of DHL. Especially as you have had multiple failed collections- it just looks like it wasn't even booked in the first place. Who did you book it with on ebay out of interest?
Yes you can get parcelforce at the PO, it did cost around £24, but I 'think' they may do it it for £12 now.0 -
If it's £12 I think I might just go along tomorrow and get rid of it for the sake of any hassle of re-booking and waiting in and giving myself an(other) ulcer. I was told by the eBay reseller that DHL were using up all their slots on the 30th and 31st for their own customers, and the "re-sellers" had been pushed back to the 2nd jan. I'll see what they say when they get back to me before I name and shame as I sent something with them a few weeks ago without any hassle.0

I think there is some truth there as bookings after a certain time on the 29th couldn't of been made till today. Who was it? couriers direct (guess)?
Please don't quote me on the parcelforce price at the PO. The companies listed above all do parcelforce (bar payperparcel), and you can also get it through paypal postage.

I dont mean to stress you out any further BUT if the seller does not open the door to the courier and therefore does not sign for it you are stuffed as paypal will reject your claim.
It seems this seller is playing games with you.0 -
The reason you have been let down is because of Christmas. Basically DHL cant cope with the workload. So they pay a bunch of monkeys penuts to collect on their behalf. They are basically free-lance couriers who wear a DHL tee-shirt and slap a DHL logo on their white van.
Although with regards to bookings, between middle december and jan all couriers normally want 24 HOURS notice for a booking.
Parcelforce - you can get a quote online. Im an account holder and pay £8.95 for upto 30KG - maximum size is 1.5m of any dimension. Id STRONGLY suggest you stick to parcelforce. I use them and never had any problems, also you can drop off your parcel at yor local depot if you feel the driver could let you down. Goto the parcelforce website and get a quote, will be alot more than account holder rates but your parcel will arrive.
Hope this helps.0
