Debenhams Store Card - No online service anymore?

It appears that Debenhams (GE Money) have stopped the online service for the Debenhams Store Cards, and now only offer this facility for the Debenhams Mastercard.
I called them and spoke to some in India to be told it was stopped in February, but according to an old weblink I used to access my account, it says the service stopped on 22nd May. I was sure I have used the service since then, but may be I haven't.
I asked about how to get an online service again and would told I would need to reapply for a new card again.
I would normally just scrap the card, but this one is worth using as we have on the original Gold card that they offer if you do a wedding list with them. This has the advantage of giving you a 20% discount in the restaurant/cafe so it is worth having.
I asked if I would get a new Mastercard Gold card, but they couldn't answer that question with out me applying first!
Does anyone have a contact number for Debenhams finance (GE Money) that will put me through to someone in the UK rather than to the call centre in India? It is always such a real struggle to ask questions and get answers back that make sense. I am sure all the operators are just given a script of what to say to each question and it appears to be impossible to have a normal conversation with them.

I dont think there is a uk number now, last year when i had to call them i noticed they had changed the number to a 0870 number aswell.
Does anyone know how easy it is to convert a debenhams store card to the mastercard version they have now.
Just the mastercard you can use in other places and you still get debenhams pewrks n discounts so would be better for me. Does this involve cancelling and re appling??0 -

I am a member of staff at Debenhams so hopefully can help.
The best way for you to apply for the upgrade is at any tillpoint within a debenhams store, explain to the member of staff that you already have a storecard and would like to try for an upgrade to a mastercard. A new application will need to be made, which is all done at the tillpoint now on a system called e-apps. The system should recognise that you already have an account and your application should be reffered. It is important that if the application is reffered the member of staff says that you would like a mastercard upgrade as the contact centre can then process this request and say if they can offer it to you.
The benefit of making the application in store is that if you are accepted you will recieve an extra 10% off your shopping for 7 days just like new account customers.
A mastercard is most likely to be granted when a credit card is produced as the form of ID rather than a debit card or driving licence etc. However producing a credit card does not guarantee acceptence in any way and acceptence is subject to status.
The type of card that you currently have can also to some degree impact on the mastercard upgrade. If you have one of the old style cards i.e. the blue one with the black strip across the top or the gold card with the black strip across the top then you are more likely have the application accepted (Subject to status) because they are considered the old style cards and a new application would produce one of the new style cards. But don't worry if it isn't as the application can be made at the tillpoint and a decision should be provided as to whether they will upgrade you.
The application at the tillpoint should take no more than 5-10 minutes in total and a decision should be provided as to whether you have been accepted for the mastercard.
If you don't want to do this instore you could ring the contact centre (Number printed on your statement) and ask to be upgraded, however doing it this way will not allow you to recieve the extra 10% off for the next 7 days instore.
Even if you do make an application it is not guaranteed to be accepted, the person at the contact centre may not allow an upgrade to be processed unless the account is closed and you wait for 6 months before reapplying.
I Hope this helps and please read and consider all points before proceeding with the upgrade.
Rob
P.S. Please feel free to PM me with any further questions that you may have.
