Abbey Current Account - 6% Gross/AER

Not sure how long this has been out - just noticed it today.
Abbey are offering up to 6% Gross/AER on current account balances up to £1,000 for 12 months. It also seems to have a Fixed Rate Monthly Saver which offers 6% Gross/AER for 12 months as long as you pay in between £20 and £250 per month by standing order from your Abbey Current Account.
Not sure how this compares to A&L's current account - one thing is that Abbey don't seem to offer 0% overdraft facility.
