Hi everyone!
I wonder if anyone can tell me if it is possible to copy dvd discs (kids ones, Disney and suchlike) to a blank disc so we have a spare copy for the player in the car? They're ending up all over the place and having two copies of everything'd sort that out I'm sure.
I've never burned a dvd so all advice very welcomed. Many thanks!
Lucy

It is possible but of dubious legality, we have no "Fair Use" doctrine in UK copyright law, but as most DVD's have some form of copy protection breaching said protection is technically illegal You could use anydvd from https://www.Slysoft.com to circumvent the protection then use DVD Shrink if it is still available or Clone DVD to compress a dual layer dvd to fit on a single 4.7 gb writeable.0

Dvd Shrink too.
Took me a while to find a safe copy, as I seem to remember the guy had stopped hosting it.0 -
Yep, DVD Shrink... Excellent... Can get it here for free.. You should not do it as it's legally not allowed, however with kids and car involved I would and have/do with cd's and dvd's, but don;t go around broadcasting it..

Good luck with DVD shrink....0 -
DVD Decrypter will remove the protection from a DVD. It is however illegal to copy a DVD in the UK. You can then use DVD Shrink to fit t onto a blank DVD.
www.doom9.org has a lot of useful infoIt's my problem, it's my problem

Thanks so much folks! Downloaded dvd shrink and anydvd, both working right now. Absolutely smashing.
I can sort them out at last, and never get halfway to Grimsby and wish we'd remembered Mary Poppins! (Which is the one the kids always want. Groan.)
Thanks so much everyone for your fab and quick responses.
Best wishes
