I have 8200 I want to put away for 2 years at 4.75% in the Cheshire building society, but, it does not come available until 10th January. Shall I get the cheque to them by 5th, this Monday and hope it does not clear until after Saturday 10th?
It they try and take it out before 10th January I'll be fined something like £60. What do you think my chances are of it being taken out after 10th January?
I was thinking 5 working days to clear so it might not clear until Monday 12th January

Why don't you just wait until the 10th before opening the account
