Valiant eco-tec Combi Boiler making funny noise?

Hi everyone - happy new year

Alas, the water board have changed the supply pipes to finally improve water flow/pressure - aiding the performance of our newly installed combi boiler.

However, since the new change in water pressure etc. - I have noticed when the hot water tap is turned on - the boiler makes a really loud vaccuum cleaner-like noise which only goes off again when the hot water tap is closed.

**To be honest the noise seems to be coming from the hot water tap itself, the cold water tap seems fine***

The pressure is normal on the boiler readings so im really confused as to what is going on?

many thanks for any help/advice

Is it a conventional tap or a quarter turn?

Sounds like a faulty washer in the tap made worse by the increased water flow.
Mine needed a new fan so that must be whats wrong with yours:D

thanks for the help - I did notice the noise would get stronger/weaker when I turned the hot water tap in either direction - so you're maybe correct there.

Not sure if it is a quarter turn/conventional - how do I check that?

Quarter turn taps only turn for quarter of a turn between off and full on, conventional taps rotate between two and three times between off & full on :D

    ahh ok thanks for that

ok well mine is definitely a quarter turn tap then - so what would be the best advice in this case to remedy that ghastly noise that comes on when the hot water is running?
