Quick question re withdrawals from Nationwide Regular Saver

So you certainly could do a £1 test for a day (if you've already shoved £250 in there) and see if it gets bounced back before making a decision for February.
'Fraid I don't have an RS! -- or I do, but it's with Principality. It was just you three at the top of the thread got me all interested in the NW one as a possibility, with your cunning and ingenious plan to use it more or less as an ordinary savings account! I kinda thought it might be a way of using what's 'sitting' in the eSaver doing nothing much in particular (it's what will be funding the PBS RS I already have, so needs to stay 'liquid'), but I really would fall down on timing with all the to-ing and fro-ing between accounts so on reflection I don't think it's right for me.
So no, really appreciate the encouragement, but what I'll probably do is move it over to NatWest when the higher rate kicks in end of Jan... basic's gone down there too, lower than NW, but just sneaked in for the bonus before they withdrew it for new applicants; then maybe move it on again to Tesco once they get around to opening the account (if they ever do, before their rates come down bump as well!). Never done any 'tarting' before till a couple of months ago, and still learning, but needs must and all that~cottager0 -
How kind!
Ah... you'd know that was tongue in cheek... wouldn't you?But realistically, I suspect that Clause 65 is the thing to be dreaded. A bit like what's in room 101 ...
Seriously, I do like this account for its flexibility. In addition to the benefits that Afahmaep likes, it is always good to use for short term bursts of small savings with instant transfer to the flex account whilst the rate is better than esavings. However when - if - NW ever get round to FP, that benefit will disappear.
Yep, those clauses tend to get you every time...
Agreed, it does sound a good bet for the way you've all been using it, and surprising it's been left so 'open' really. Quite unusual.
FP's supposed to be in by end of March for NW... allegedly
