I owe £5,500 on my Abbey Card....PLEASE help

right i have been approved for a barclaycard ( £6k ) 0% interest for 12 months thats good ????????????? please advise

well a hell of a lot better then what you had... that said 460 p/m to pay it off before the 12m are up... but you have a good credit rateing so you should be fine to get another one in 12m time !???! ( if need be ) just dont forget to factor in the 3%?? ((ish)) to transfer it across if that swhat you want to do with it

wicked thanks so its £5500 plus 3% transfer fee is that right ?????????????? which is around £160 ???? great 0% for 12months and i can apply for a new card in another 12 months and pay it off that way ????? yipeeee. all i need to do is sort out the 2 overdrawn current accounts

well im working off the fact if you got one 0% you can get another???

and the 3% seems to be the going rate you will have to look at the fine print to see the real amount you will have to pay but will not a 1000 miles away

Im thinking they told me I have a good credit rating ( im top of the middle band ???) anyway the balance transfer will be sorted, what about the 2 overdrawn accounts totalling £2300, maybe i can get another c/c and get that amount at 0% as well.........gr8 thought .????? wat do think people......that woudl eb fantastic, also I was offered a loan through blackhorse ive just rang them yeah said yes no problem , i said what whats the APR they said 21.%.....i said wat the fck......i canceleld taht straight away how can they justify £8k over 10 years at 21.9.%......stupid

yes it is a good plan to get the two overdrawn accounts onto a 0% ( how about Virgin account for these as only a few credit cards let you t/f overdrafts to CC acounts ?? )

on the phone to virgin now to see if i can get balance transfers from my 2 current accounts......any other cards offer this please advise thank you all

You might want to read the Barclaycard balance transfer T&C's before piling in with a £5.5K BT request.

Max BT @ 0% is generally limited to £5K (or 90% of your limit, whichever is the least).

Anything over this is given @ 6.9% APR, although it's fee-free. This will sit behind the 0% BT in the order of payments though, so will accrue interest until you clear the entire balance.

right vigin said i will receive a letter within 3-5 days with an outcome, but earlier on with barclaycard they said yes immeditely also my loan application earlier I declined - this that normail 3-5 days ?????
