the way i see it is this...
1. i know where this guy lives, definatley his house, i've been in there and his wife and children were there.
2. the car isn't listed as stolen on the data checks.
3. number plate is old and cracked - so clearly not been changed.
4. I can't see that such an elborate scam would be done on £400 worth of car
i susppose it boils down to wether or not i trust him and i can't really see any reason not too. Car was advertised on ebay and none of the other transactions were car related.
I think i'll contact the registered owner when i go to pick up the car. if that seems genuine enough then i'll part with the cash.
thanks for all the help!kicking squealing gucci little piggy.0 -
Personally based on that, ITtim, I'd buy it. The V5 merely indicates the registered keeper and doesn't imply title to the vehicle anyway. There's nothing stopping you applying for one yourself although it'll cost you £19.
You've had a HPI check so should be able to claim against the company if it turns out to be nicked.Conor
