The interest rate on issue 1 is currently the same as issue 2... but it may suffer death by a thousand cuts.

Issue 1 is more heavily 'bonused' - therefore you gain nothing (except having a larger monthly limit) but must be that much more careful on withdrawals.

Can't see from the Summary box* when the one permitted withdrawal is allowed. It could be the 'anniversary' month like the Issue 1 - but there is no reason it needs to be.

Just had a thought. Anyone with an Issue 1 RS could open this account too. Then split the amount they would have saved over both YBS accounts. This affords two annual withdrawals (up to half the total each!) which can be at different times of year!

*YBS are 'poor' for not having the terms and conditions of its products online IMO

So ru sayin that you can only withdraw from issue 1 during the anniversary month? I am tempted to move my money elsewhere or where I am not sure at the mo. I know there is a max withdrawal of 5000.

reasonably sure issue 1 allows one withdrawal at any time - I pulled most of mine out mid year and the interest at year end was what I expected. No limit on withdrawal either - as long as you leave I think £100 in the account

Really? I withdrew nearly £9K last year, albeit into my Internet Saver...from where I immediately transferred it out of YBS altogether.

There is only a £5K withdrawal limit when transferring to external accounts which you have not registered with YBS (i.e. 'linked' with your regular saver) or only had them registered for 30 days or less. Transfers to other YBS accounts you hold or to external accounts registered for 30 days or more are not limited to the £5K.

I notice that the Regular Saver is in the list of accounts that are no longer available.

Also when viewing the details for Regular Saver 2, the link to the interest page links to the interest for the Regular Saver.

OK. Thanks for clarifying, I've had all my YBS accounts, and the linked accounts set up, for a long time.

Thanks for the link but when I go via the 'official route' i.e. savings->regular saver 2, the link is to the interest rates for the regular saver.

I think the web page might need updating by YBS.
