Anyone got an alternative to the rip off 75p a minute customer service number, im buggered if i'm going to pay them to sort out a problem on their phone.

Yep - here's what I'd do - I'd call Siemens customer service in Denmark. The Danes do not tolerate shoddy customer service and consequently almost all Customer Service departments in all industries still do what it says on the can.

I am serious, they will answer in Danish but if you just ask in English or Danish if they wouldn't mind speaking in English then they will instantly switch to excellent English with good humour. "Kan vi tale engelsk?" will get you started! And when they say yes of course, just add "Tak for det" and they will be most pleased to help.

Then you can explain why you are calling them and not the UK, they may be surprised but I think you will get a sympathetic ear.

The number is probably on the Siemens website.

I have a Danish friend who swears by the quality of Siemens customer service in particular.

like that tip - pretty lateral. havig\ng trouble with my A55 too, keeps unlocking itself and making calls out - out of fiver credit, half it goes on pocket calls, really annoying
