and whats more, why don't you call an election you dour usurper coward???
i think he is waiting for 50% of the country to be on benefits and the other 50% in public sector work. then, with his army of ready made dependent voters, the coward might have the guts to get a mandate from the people!
Won't be long then. I bet a huge percentage of the population claim a benefit of some sort. I honestly think it is probably more than 50% now.0 -

This stupid govt rewards stupidy, !!!!lessness, laziness and whatever else they can find, which isn't working hard, obeying the law and doing the right thing.
this govt make my stomach churn. they are scum of the highest order.
stop helping chavs and parasites and the scum of society, and start helping the taxpayer.

Erm, not everyone on benefits vote Labour.
Not everyone who is claiming a benefit is lazy, parasites, chavvy or scum.
Those taxpayers could also find themselves out of jobs in the current economic climate....and I can tell you now, they will not take kindly to being called scum and lazy (and they would probably not vote Labour either!)
Yes you can get the 'scum' element but it does not mean that everyone who is claiming benefits, is scum.
Neither are all those who claim a benefit, stupid.
And as someone else has said, you can be working and claiming a benefit (WTC)...are they scum too? They are tax payers but by your definition, they are lazy and scum for claiming. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

I think scum is a bit harsh, but stupid is pretty fair. I know people on £14k with 3 kids claiming 100's a week in WTC. Who in their right mind would bring 3 kids into the world when earning so little? This government enables people like that and taxes hard working married couples to high heaven to pay for it , meaning we can only afford to have one child even with both of us working. How is that fair?0 -
In the early days of our marriage, I earnt around 3-4 times as much as my husband, he didn't like it much but then I applied myself and had ambition...he was a stick in the mud. If I hadn't provided, then we wouldn't have eaten, taken nice holidays etc.
Why on earth did you a have kids with him then or even marry him for that matter?0 -

It's a long story but part of it includes love and the other part includes the fact we were never supposed to be able to have children.
That covers the why I married him and why we had children although what that has to do with my statement is confusing. I earnt more than him pre children, when we met I didn't, when we found out I wasn't supposed to be able to have children, I threw myself into my career and took chances...hence the high salary.
He didn't, hence the lower one.
They say love is blind.....well it certainly was in my case for nearly 20 years! We made it! Sometimes when you bring the children into the world, the salary is higher and the children are affordable.
Then !!!!!! happens and you have to take what work you can find, even if it only pays 14k a year.
Doesn't mean the person is stupid, just unlucky. We made it! As soon as any large amount of assets are accumulated the pendulum swings the other way, with marriage being far better in terms of the tax position (transfer of assets to lower earner, tax free interest, two lots of effectively transferrable annual CGT allowances and no inheritance tax if one of you dies).
The problem is for the working class / young middle class couple c.f. the single parent. But the single parent's lifestyle isn't necessarily more enjoyable, when taken in totality (visiting rights, etc).0
