Moving abroad but still have some debts to pay

Morning all. this is my first post and hopefully it's a productive one. Over the last 18 months or so I've slashed my debts from a massive £28k down to something approaching half that figure; thanks mostly to this website and a lot of nagging from a close relative, despite earning just £17900!
Anyway, I'm moving to Portugal possibly as soon as September. By which time I estimate my debts to be around £10k; part loan, part credit card, how easy will it be to manage my debts when living in another country? Is it legal?
Chances are I'll move closer to the end of this year, in which I'll have a lot less to pay off, but if my partner gets a job offer it'll most likely be to start in September.
Any help would be much appreciated, the last year or two has been an awfully humbling experience, but without doubt the best thing that could have happened to me. It'll be such a good to feeling to be no longer at the mercy of the banks.
Good luck to everyone else with the guts to pay off their debts.
kind regards
Ricardo

Its not illegal to move, in fact some people have moved abroad to pay off there debts quicker, it would be worth confirming with a company like payplan or cccs, as they can arrange on your behalf a payment schedule, and help with what will be transfer after transfer while you are paying off debts abroad
Id recommend the payplan route as sometimes the banks can get twitchy, and payplan or cccs will have more experience and methods of sorting this for ya0 -
Thanks for the advice Kevicho, I've taken a look at their websites and will give them a bell on my next day off. A huge weight off my mind!0
