Does anyone know of Incapacity Benefit Top Up

Hi, i am on Long Term Incapacity Benefit and DLA, i got speaking to someone had told me to go into my local Jobcentre Plus and ask for a form for Incapacity Benefit Top Up, has anyone heard of this or what actually is it and who should get it, i never heard of it and dont want to go in and make myself look a fool, any help please.

i haven't heard of it , but there is a extra payment if your on long term sick . i think before your 40 year , i missed it by 6 months , it is on the gov. web site about this, you could ring them as very helpful on the phone . good luckthe truth is out there ... on these pages !!0 -
Are you sure they didn't mean an income support top up? Sometimes when you start getting dla it pushes up your allowances and you can then get income support on top of your incapacity benefit. I think i get around £45 per week extra because of this. You have to re-apply for the income support as they don't do it automatically.0
