As regular viewer here cannot believe I have been caught out. Went for FREE trial 20 Dec ending 19 Jan so cancelled 16 Jan but they STILL sent out dvd 16 Jan and demanded return by 18 Jan (2 days early than trial end) or would be charged £9.99. Final dvd returned 18 Jan. Realising would be charged anyway decided to reverse cancellation figuring would get something for my money.Soon as reversed cancel status told NEXT months payment will be charged immediately (due 19 Feb but authorised irreversibly?). Seems SS will thus be GUARANTEED months money without sending single disc as no other way to cancel. This cannot be legal? Their terms states Cancel Anytime. Have I been had for £19.98?

Normally with Screenselect they give you 7 days after your trial has ended and if not back to them within this date they will charge you. I had a problem with a lost disk, they asked for recorded proof as if i had that, then asked for POP i did'nt have that either. But they wanted me to pay £17.99 for a dvd worth about £3. I think RM give them they're claim. But just cancel before your deadline and normally your ok.0

I wondered about this when I first saw a ScreenSelect offer (this was for a free DVD to keep with a free month's subscription). At that stage there was a loophole in that you didn't have to fill in your wish list, so wouldn't get any rental discs. They've since closed that one. I loved cancelling the subscription as you get bombarded with ever more desperate web pages trying to stop you. I didn't love emailing them five times asking where my free DVD had gone!Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0
