Annual Family Travel incl Ski & Business

I want to take out an annual travel policy that will cover my family worldwide plus winter sports. As I work as a contractor, I would also like cover for business trips etc.

Has anybody any experience where the best deals are? It's difficult to compare eggs with eggs! Cheapest isn't necessarily best.....

I just got Euro Annual travel policies for my student offspring tonight for £27 inc winter sports, we used to pay around £90 for the 4 of us for Worldwide with Winter sports but they are too old now for a family policy so it costs more.

Fortunately we have never had to claim so I can't give you any idea how good any of them are when you need them but if they are underwritten by a company you have heard of like AXA it should be OK.

Make sure that you read the small print to look for exclusions and if you have Home contents insurance which covers your personal possessions outside the home you can save by not having the baggage cover. Also if members of the family travel individually make sure they are covered if the policy holder isn't travelling.
