Cannot Access Halifax Online Banking

Well, the problem is finally sorted for me at least.

It seems that the upgrade Halifax made on Saturday has caused some incompatibility problems with Internet Explorer.

I switched to Mozilla Firefox and was able to reset my password and log on successfully.

Anyway, it is still no thanks to Halifax, in fact they told me not to use Mozilla Firefox as they claimed it would not work!

So, what I suspect is - the system upgrade fixed a Mozilla Firefox incompatibility problem but introduced an Internet Explorer incompatibility problem.

In normal use Internet Explorer is OK - but when asking the system for a rest password it just will not work - even if the Halifax website is added to the trusted site list in Internet Explorer.

Yes - I've experienced this too before

I use Mozilla Firefox, and luckily when telling them that whilst resetting password, they told me it would not work and to use Internet Explorer - so I did just for the resetting and then straight back to Firefox. Firefox seems to cause me a few problems when registering for things (eg online shopping) - have you experiences this too?

I think you misread my post!

I can reset the password when using Mozilla Firefox!

I cannot reset the password when using Internet Explorer!
