Ah doll, we all have them. I'm just a total lover of the single life and can't see what's not to love about it. You are doing amazingly well anyway. Big hugs and as the amazing Scarlett O'Hara said 'Tomorrow is another day' XXX.
Off to bed as I have to work tomorrow and the shop is starting to be mobbed with Xmas shoppers!'The road to a friends house is never long'0 -
Yep, we all have those down days when we look around & wonder how we got where we are & others appear to have all that we want.
Twice this week I've had a married woman owning own home & with husband with own business tell me that she her life is like that of a single parent . Yes love, of course it is , you are solely responsible for paying to keep a roof over your head, all the bills & making all the decisions alone. Er no, actually you just work as a TA during school hours & term time to earn pocket money while your husband pays for your home, bills, car & general upkeep.
I'm not complaining, I chose my life & love the freedom & independence it brings but find it somewhat galling to have it compared to that of married woman whose OH work long hours :rotfl:0 -
Make up, did you post last years list on here? Tell me to p*** off if it's personal but that sounds like a really good plan. Might think about doing one myself.
Nope cos it is long and boring to others!!!
It is a fabulous idea and sadly one that I can't take credit for. Sarahb has been doing it for a while and a few of us pinched the idea last year.
Here are a few of things on my list:- Go on cornwall trip with J*****
- Go to Notting Hill Carnival
- Go on spa weekend
- Win something from a competition
So I had a few fun things,Some dull yet essential things:- Sort out wardrobe and send to charity
- Sort out make up stuff and organise
- Get to work for 8am once a week
- Start yoga classes
- Go swimming before work
- Follow Sonoma diet
There were a few smaller ones that I forgot.
I definitely did well in terms of decluttering and sorting things out although I need to get on with that again and there were quite a few art exhbitions that I wanted to see and I crossed most of those off the list.
I only got as far as 75 and intended to put more on as the year progressed but forgot!I've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills
And feed my interiors addiction0 -
Hi Shoe Gal!
How are you feeling today? Hope things are a bit better :A
GwenxThough no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending0 -
Went out with friends last night - and had a bit of an emotional meltdown
Just feeling really low, lonely and skint, and mixed in with too much to drink I ended up in floods of tears. Very sweet ex/fab friend looked after me - feel a bit of a fool now though
Am home now, watching trash TV and stuffing my face. There's loads of stuff needs doing but I can't motivate myself  Just feel like wallowingSometimes it's hard to walk in a single woman's shoes - that's why we need really special ones!Total debt @ Oct 2008: £29,226.42 Credit Card- £[STRIKE]7493.56[/STRIKE] - £7243.56Weightloss : 0/34lbs0 -
Hey sugar
(((hugs))
Sometimes it is good to wallow and get it out of your system, but I am not sure you will feel better? I am having a bit of a single again at Christmas and now Mum is back its all a bit feel like a failure time again. I am trying my hardest to keep busy and not dwell, do one little thing at a time and just keep moving towards the goal, however small the steps keep the momentum in the right direction. Much easier typed then done I know (I had a real misery day yesterday with moments of come on Buffy get on with it)
Have a bath do some pampering and do some light tidying so you are ready for next week ? don't be down on yourself we all have days like this
Many hugs my love
Buffy xxxxxNevertheless she persisted.0 -

Awww hunnybunny,
so sorry you're feeling really down, just wish I was close enough to give you a big HUG or offer some practical support ( wine/choc/shopping etc )
Maybe having let 'it' all out last night will help you to move on again.
Although I'm as single as you, I do have the constant companionship of DD which means I have to just get on with stuff even when I dont want to. I cant imagine just how difficult it is to have to motivate yourself every day. You work hugely long hours, maintain your home & offer so much help, support & advice to so many people on here & I think you are absolutely F Fabulous :A.
November is a dark, gloomy & miserable time of year, with the prospect of yet another expensvie & yet solitary festive season ahead& then the start of another new year which offers the chance to once again be aware of our preceived failings over the previous year.
Many people suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder , a form of depression brought on by the misery of gloomy, dark days, little opportunity to get out & exercise in the fresh air & sunshine & the prospect of ever shortening daylight. If you dont start to feel a bit perkier soon then it may be worthwhile consulting with a health professional to see whether you might be suffering form this.
Hope the black dog soon leaves you alone & your return to your former shining glory soon.
And by the way, it's your diary so you are free to wallow as much as you like
