Has anyone got an Advent laptop & have any comments about them please? Looking at this one in PC World for £549.99 which seems to have all the right boxes ticked but would appreciate any comments before I commit :eek: . Many thanks.

    I have an Advent 7003 which I purchased about 4 years ago, at the time it seemed to have just about everything that you could get in a laptop, I took out the extended warrenty with it, which was a good thing as about 18 months after I bought it, it had to have a new motherboard fitted, it now has a problem with the pci card slot which I have not bothered to get sorted. We now have 2 Acer laptops, an Aspire and a Travelmate, pleased with both of these. I did notice today in Tesco's that they have an Acer for sale at about £470, not sure what model it was.
