How high should I set my boiler stat?

The heating in our house has always taken ages to heat up the upstairs rooms. I did a quick check with a thermometer and all radiators are heating up evenly but to only 60 degrees C.
We have thermostat valves on all of our radiators and the boiler is a conventional type (Ideal Classic). There is also a thermostat on the HW tank.
I have turned the boiler thermostat up to full for now but what is the best setting? Will it cause any problems if I run the boiler at max temperature all the time?

It won't do the boiler any harm running at max temperature. I would expect the rads to reach about 74ish degrees then.
If this rads are getting hot enough but the room is not getting warm then it is undersized or your window is open.0 -

Thanks, I reckon the rads are a bit undersized up stairs but I'll see how it goes now the boiler is turned up.
I've just been round the house and the rads are ranging from 72 - 74 degrees C.0
