I highly recommend Rothiemurcus Estate when you are in Aviemore as well as the Cairngorm railway (on a clear day)

I've just come down from there and it was FREEZING, literally. Minus 12- minus 14, getting to a high of minus 6 during the day. I even sat ON Loch Morlich (Aviemore) which is the first time in my lifetime I have done so. It was completely frozen over.

It's a little warmer now, i.e freezing -1, but be prepared for the cold.

    Beautiful part of the country.

I aalso recommed going to Carr Bridge if you have a car and check out the old packhorse bridge there, it's the cutest one in the country, that goes over the river there. There is also a nice coffee shop there that wont have you paying Aviemore prices which can be

Apologies....no offence was intended. You will understand that I had no way of knowing whether this was a typo or not when I made my original post. The only reason for bringing this to your attention was to make it easier for you to find the destination "Glenfiddich Distillery" in google maps.
