I have a Panasonic and it is the best one I have had, especially when you make the 6hour French loaf, well worth the wait.
Morphy Richards ok, but not great tasting, Hinari rubbish, Breville average.
My recommendation find a Panasonic SD254 or SD255 it just turns out a great loaf even on quick setting.
One other thing, the bread paddle rarely sticks in the Panasonic, and bread comes out easy, the pan is strong and well made. Morphy Richards was very thin and often stuck. My Mind wanders, if found please return.0 -
Having read how fab the Panasonic SD255 is on here, then at a party yesterday more people raved about it (yup, I go to really exciting parties) my OH decided he wanted one for his birthday. The cheapest I found it (and have ordered it today) is for £85.36 including delivery.
From Dixons. Cost is £85.51 but go to checkout and enter SALE25 in the voucher code box and get £2.14 off. Standard delivery is £1.99. Found this price on http://www.properprice.co.uk/panasonic-sd255-breadmaker-12.html
Offer ends on 06/01/09.
Can't wait to see his smile on 30/01 - just a shame I'll have to wait until then to try it!0 -
I've got the SD255, love it.0

I would also sencond the comment about freecycle, I wanted a breadmaker, but wanted to try one first incase it ended up at the back of the cupboard. A lovely lady offered a Morphy Richards one on freecycle in the summer as she did not use it, and I love it....(ok some of my first attempts were a little ropey to say the least until I got the hang of it), fresh baked bread and home made tomato soup is now a firm favourite with the kids for tea.0

Anyone got a bread maker of christmas? I'm looking to get one.
I saw someone mentioned one at Argos on MSE
