Section 75 stupid question

Hi folks,

Just a quick question - the section 75 protection covers you for transactions over £100.

I was going to start paying my holiday off in instalments and was wondering if the section 75 protection kicks in at exactly £100.00 or do I need to pay an amount over £100 - example £100.01?

Hope this makes sense!

Happy New Year:j

As long as the total purchase is over £100 and under £30,000 you can pay as little as £1 and still benefit from Section 75 protection on the entire purchase.

    Happy New Year ;)

It covers the purchase price of the goods or services being provided.

As Nick has said, the transaction value is irrelevant.

Does the holiday provider have a minimum charge, as well as a percentage amount? eg "3%, min £3". If so, you might want to consider making larger payment installments in order to save yourself some money.
