UK investing-money is in Euros..?

A friend lives in euroland and has a fair wadge of cash in a bank in the country in which she lives.
It seems that she is earning next to no interest. She doesnt have a clue what to do as she is better at spending than saving but her current circs means that she now has to think about investing.
Is there any UK institution which will accept her Euros and invest it in the UK with a decent return and as she is not UK resident,what would be the tax situation?
She doesnt work due to disability.
What about offshore UK accounts?
