I agree, and using a well established ebay account is really not very bright. The chances of anyone actually paying is pretty remote, so seller ends up with FVfs currently running at over £10, so he then has to faff around doing NPbs and risking a neg when buyer realises he is likely to get a strike for a 'joke'.
There is always someone who thinks this sort of thing is a good idea and just wants to see their ID on the ebay pulse.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Surely he'll just do mutual "agreed not to proceed with transaction". The biggest pain for the highest bidder will be the fact there is currently uncurable bug in eBay payment system which tries to force payment for all items regardless of mutual withdrawal. So for the next half a year or so, every time the highest bidder tries to pay for something they will have £215 of brussel sprouts added automatically to the payment slip at checkout.0

There is a charity scheme on ebay and this is not part of it so it also liable to be reported for pretending to be a charity auction whilst not ticking all the boxes.Surely he'll just do mutual "agreed not to proceed with transaction"
Then faced with a dim buyer or one out to be nasty they get the mutual refused and are stuck with the FVFs.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. There is no way of knowing if money is donated though, anyone can state they are collecting for or auctioning something for charity.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
