Morning all:)
Decking arrived as planned yesterday and mate came round to move it into the back garden for me last night. I think work maybe starting on it this weekend, so plenty of time to save the rest of the money up.
£3 to pad today, taking the total to £27, £123 to go!!
Food shopping and petrol today, which means a big spend although I will be trying to be as good as possible!
Ordered a pair of winter boots online, so waiting for them to arrive as last years pair have huge hole and will let in water if we start getting any rain, so money well spent!
Off to make lunchboxes now:) have a great day all.....November NSD's - 70 -
Another £3 for me today to PAD:) Grand total of £30 now:)
Spent just under £50 in tesco yesterday, but my trolly wasnt full! It hardly looked as if I had bought anything!!! Prices must have gone up again!!! Also put in £30 worth of petrol.
I am off to Ikea this morning, boys are pleased I will be getting their bookcase as they are having to put up with all their books ontop of their bedside tables atm and it looks really messy!
I may buy some boxes for storage, the ones I bought last time were brilliant! I also want to look at shoe boxes which will tidy up the bottom of my wardrobe a bit:)
I will be looking at the lighting section to choose the lights for my front room, I wont be buying them today, just choosing. I may also get some more bottom sheets as I need a few more extra and they are so cheap there.
Hoping to spend no more than £100 today. That is my budget. If I spend less its a bonus:D
I have booked in a haircut for friday so with Ikea shop and haircut I am still hoping to save another £10 towards PAD this week. I will be concentrating on PAD next week and want to have as many NSD's as possible before the end of the month!
Have a good day all.....November NSD's - 70 -

Hi Jamie!
Apologies for absence! I have been away from MSE for months. Got really downhearted that my changes in the home were actually causing problems and not achieving what I hoped they would. We reached crisis point. Things miles better now and I'm back on track. I've got the slow cooker on for the first time in ages!
I hope you are well - I've not seen your diary in such a long time. My kids have had flu-ey viruses last week too. That time of year I guess. Are you still with the significant other?Wendy x0 -
Hi all.
Lots been going on here lately. Firstly I am skint! Money seems to have slipped though my fingers like water this month and I have hardly any left to last me the month:(
I have overstretched myself this month and spent far more than I should have, so I am suffering the for it now. Have a pretty well stocked freezer but other then that I seriously need to spend as little as possible on food for the last two weeks of October. Unfortunately it is also an expensive month regarding birthdays! I still have 5 prezzies to buy.
I have also racked up some spending on my cc so this will have to be addressed. Spent on nothing really important:eek:
My big news is that I have returned to college:T I decided I wanted to retrain so I am doing a 3 year course at my local college and am training to be an electrician. It is only one day per week so manageable and I am enjoying it! I am trying to think of the future and want to start earning some reasonable money eventually. Friends and family have been really supportive, kids think its funny mummy is going to be an electrician one day:rotfl:
There arent many costs involved with the college course, extra petrol and I am packing a lunch so I dont spend in the canteen, plus parking (50p a day in college car park) On top of this DD is now going to breakfast club and afterschool club at 11.50 per day which is good value plus if I didnt send her I wouldnt be able to do the course. But I am thinking of further down the line when I will be able to bring in a decent wage as I have no qualifications at the moment.
So plans for today are to go through freezer and see if I can come up with 14 meals to last us the rest of the month, go through budget and see exactly how much money I have left to spare for food. Write up a meal plan and a shopping list and then do a grocery shop online next week to prevent me putting extras in the shopping trolley!:)
Hope everyone is doing ok?
