I hope you get a great deal Jen.

I can't decide whether to have a last minute beach holiday later in the year or just be ultra good and save.

Hey everyone, on the borrowing from family:
Me and my sis have come up with a plan..... my hsbc credit card is practically maxed out and i am paying £60 in interest every month and paying the minimum payment at the mo (even worse now i am not working, hopefully next week will be back to work) which i worked out will take about 4-5 years to pay off with just minimum being paid. If the plan goes ahead she will lend me just over £4000 (thats alot) and i will pay her back in full and pay her £1300 in interest, which is peanuts compared to what the credit card company will be taking over the next few years. In that £4000 recently she lent me £1050 for my business to pay off bouncy castles which i got on 0% credit for a year, if she hadnt lent me that instead of paying what i owed (£3160) it would have been £5849 which is ridiculous interest!! And the best thing out of this is my sister gets that bit more money and the banks do not! I can throughly say i will not be touching credit again after this (except american express, so i can get cash back). Big thanks to my sis and hopefully the summer will be good and i can pay her some back quickishly.
Sorry i know its a long post. :D

I cant deposit money into my scratchcards to then withdraw money because i cant remember my security numbers ect on my expired card oh well, will ring them tomorrow for one site, see if that works then in a month or so ring them up to update the other one, hope that works.

  • That's great stacy -- at least the interest will be helping your sister and not lining the pockets of the greedy banks! :)

Yep CL thats the plan as my sis says (she is investing in me) lol and id rather make a family member richer than a fat cat who already receives millions in bonuses every year. :p:p to the bankers!

  • ^Definitely. And it's more than she'll get if she just leaves the money in a savings account so you're both benefitting :)

I'm just waiting on one last ebay item to end... can't believe I sold everything I listed except one item (which I just relisted)! I'm surprised because some of it was stuff I tried to sell ages ago but never got any bids. Yet this week there were 2 or 3 bidders on each item. Most of them were clothes, sold for about £2.50 each but listed for free so yay :D

edit - final ebay item solf for £7. not bad considering I only paid £2.50 for it new, haha.
