Morning all,
Go for it Jen, it seems like an achievable goal especially with the money you have on its way to you.Due to budget cuts the light at the end of the tunnel will be switched off.

Still not enough mile to cash out on dooyoo! driving me insane now. i have loads of suggestions pending too and they seem to be taking forever to get sorted!

well i have done some of my random calculations and it look very manage able for me to reach £1,500 in 18 weeks (84 a week) So that is what i will aim for and if i can i will get there early so i can put some cash back for the summer holidays which would be very handy!
My plan.
Make £1,500 in under 18 weeks
£25 a week from wages= £50 plus £50 alread in saver= (£500)
Make £1,000 in 18 days sounds scary..
To come 2 week rent break £150
Money due from top cash back £145 (not sure if and when it will pay)
Quidco £45
Quanti £50
then scrachcards?
dooyoo £50 due soon
Thank makes me look a bit closer! We will have to see
Also was having a chat with my mum yesterday and it looks like buying the house i am in at the moment might be the most sensible move to get on the property ladder it has loads of scope. The house is a 2 bed with a large garden semi detached. next door split there large bedroom in half to make theres a 3 bed? I am renting from mendip housing and would get right to aquire. last time i look into it the house was valued at £110,000 and i get a 10% discount so £100,000 but that would have changed now i expect.
The reason i wanted to move is to own and dd;'s bedroom is so small so i would need to look into what i can do and how much it would cost. i would also want a front porch and a conservatory if i stay! i am going to look into it next week:j Proud mum to Jade age 10 years and Baby Ellie born Christmas Day:eek: with a broke heartProven to be a little fighter and battling on with her heart condition :j

Hi All,
Just to let you know I am still alive.
My Nan's funeral is on Friday and I really just want to get it all over with considering half the people going don't talk to each other!
Wouldn't it be lovely if you could pick your family?
At least its only 6 weeks until my big trip now, everything is sorted (flights paid, hotel all paid, done visa waiver things, booked Nicks holiday off work and sorted travel insurance today!) apart from spending cash now so just need to save as much as possible this month, need to save at least £500!
And I need to top my ISA up to £1000 before end of tax year so I can open the ISA i want for next year as need to put in £1000 minimum!
Good luck Jen with the house plans! Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -
oh what ISA is that dawn sounds very interesting!
Good luck for friday families are i pain i am really lucky mine are all pretty good.
I am going to put any extra CASH into my saving account and update when i can.
I am looking forward to the house idea as it will mean i can buy a house without over streching! But will need a fair amount to get work done etc:j Proud mum to Jade age 10 years and Baby Ellie born Christmas Day:eek: with a broke heartProven to be a little fighter and battling on with her heart condition :j

I am looking at opening the Halifax Direct Reward ISA.
Its fixed at 3% for 12 months from opening and you can make up to 4 withdrawals a year and can transfer old ISA's in but need to deposit a minimum of £1000 so gonna transfer mine over when I have topped it up as means will earn 3% interest on up to £4600

People on the ISA board think its good, not greatest rate but good as you can transfer in and withdraw. Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -
yeah that sounds good i might go for that one too sounds like a good deal and the rates will all be crap anyway!:j Proud mum to Jade age 10 years and Baby Ellie born Christmas Day:eek: with a broke heart
