Live seating plan on flights

I once met someone who knew about a website or piece of software which updated 3 or so times a day with exactly which seats had been taken on a particular flight, i.e. a travel agents piece of software which is almost live but could be up to a couple of hours up to date, but non the less still useful when trying to book a flight.

This must have been about a year ago. Now I need to go travelling and I dont know where i can find him. Thought maybe one of you had encountered something similar?
