I know this is probably in here somewhere but... I am going to NY at the end of April and am saving for my spends. Is it worth buying some dollars now or waiting till nearer the time? Thanks for any advice

If anyone knew the answer they'd be a very rich person because that's how currency speculators make their money.
You may wish to look at https://www.oanda.com ,specifically their history charts to get a better idea.0 -
somewhere like crown currency will offer a good rate if you order now for april
its a gamble , i decided to order up half for my trip in jan , they offered 1.57 so looks like it was a good move so far0 -
Buy on the 18th February at 14.48. That's when the rate will be the best.Undefeated Wii Fit ski jump champion!

Won't do any harm getting some now just in case? Interest rates are likely to decrease further which won't do anything good for the currency rate. Get it online rather than on the high street as you get better rates online.Keep the Faith!0

Any advice on which website to get them from? I used Travelex 2 years ago and was noticeably cheaper.0

Can't recommend any sorry, think there's a list on here somewhere. Try get them to deliver to home, if they ask to collect from airport you normally get the airport rate, much worse!Keep the Faith!0

I have a Caxton dollar card and I have never found a better rate. You top it up online or by phone or text and you have that rate for the life of the balance.Undefeated Wii Fit ski jump champion!
