Love Hotel Chocolat stuff, too poor to buy it though :p
One word of warning was last August they also did an end of season box, lots of people found that they mainly sent liquor based chocolates, not a great selection ;)

This is the thread from then-

  • I received my order on Tuesday & was quite pleased with the selection. Most of them weren't xmassy & a few of the use by dates were end of March or April. Doubt they will last that long. But would be OK for pressies:

    Caramellow slab feb 2009
Sticky toffee dark slab april (both slabs 100g ones)
Chocolate selction ( only 2 nasty orange pralines) These look xmassy feb 2009
    Blackcurrent & champagne (MAY 2009)
Whisky Ganache with Amarena Cherry (march)
    Pecan & Caramel batons (April)
    Opposite attraction batons(feb)
    Seems a good selection

Keep in mind they still have their xmas stock half price as well.

Hotel Chocolat have just reduced prices further - by up to two-thirds off the original.

I had one of these at £10 last week & got a selection mainly similar to that mentioned in an earlier post. About 700g chocolate in total versus the 500g promised.

The End of Season selection is now reduced to just £7 - so I've had to order a couple more.

If you prefer mainly filled (often slightly alcoholic) choccies then also delicious is the Christmas Catwalk DeLuxe was £27-ish, then £13-odd, NOW JUST £9.00. Contains 36 choccies weighing 520g - use by 01 Feb though (won't be a problem apart from on the waistline!)

QUIDCO - despite saying 13% I find it's tracking at only 10% just now (same as topcashback).

There's also the possibility of free delivery over £15 - visit www.hotelchocolat.co.uk/treat to be emailed a unique code, or there's also a 10% code on the vouchers board which I haven't tried

  • Silverchair - you must have got lucky! I was quite excited about getting my selection when I read your post, then I got:

    6 X orange and lemon chocs (75g)
    6 X Apricot almond chocs (75g)
2 X dark chocolate chilli and orange minislabs (125g)
2 X Passionfruit and white chocs minislabs (125g)
Bag of dark chocolate, brandy and caramel mini truffles (140g)
Bag of milk chocolate, rum and caramel mini truffles (140g)
Bag of christmas chocolate shapes -white choc and apricot, milk choc and caramel, dark choc and chilli (180g)

So, I got sent a *lot* of chocolate, shame none of it was to my taste! And i think they've learnt the lessons from last seasons selection - no chance of a refund because theres plenty of variety!

Really pleased with chocolate but they charged me delivery even though the free delivery code was accepted at checkout :(

Drop them an email or call them. They can't actually do that without asking you. For example for authorised your card to be debited with £10, and they charge £14 without your authority, then it's an invalid charge to your card.
