I made a bit of an embarrasing blooper with Skinny Cow last time they did one of these prize a day things, I entered my email etc, pressed submit and then thought that had automatically entered me into the draw that I had clicked on. It was only when I did different competitions on the site afterwards that I realised that you got a confirmation pop up.

I had done the whole months worth (of ones I wanted to enter) but hadn't actually entered a single draw, I was only logged in :o:o :rotfl: :rotfl: I remember writing about it on a thread and someone else admitted to doing exactly the same!! :D

So just incase anyone makes the same error as me  .... the first box is for you to log in and does NOT enter you, click again and you will receive a confirmation saying "thanks for your entry!"

Hope that helps any of you that don't get a confirmation and don't know why!!!
  • the accessible version worked right away, got the confirmation email right away!!

I always found the Skinny Cow website terribly slow to load or actually do anything....until today!
I found the accessible version....there's a link at the bottom of the page and it loads wonderfully!
Most people probably already know this :o but I hope this helps someone :)

Think this has helped quite a few of us, all reporting success at last, cheers.
One thing I've been pondering on tho'... How on earth did you discover this clever trick?

  • I registered through the 'accessible' version of the website as the java one wouldn't work for me. I then entered the competition on the java version. Soon got my email through to validate my account.

    Thanks OP! :p

My problem is slightly different - I always use a false dob when entering competitions, and I must have entered this one differently to all the others.

Yay just used the accessible version and got m email confirmation straight away. Thanks Grannybiker :D

Amsquared - click the 'daily prize' link in the menu banner at the top rather than the 'click to win' button. You should get a confirmation then :)
