Our old Toshiba microwave has died, it had a good life would you believe of 14 years :T :T and was used daily, it will be missed.
Looking to spend upto a max of £300 for a decent one thats going to last, maybe not 14 years this time!!
The only thing it must have is a Steel look inside? (easier to clean?)
So your recommendations are welcome

hi,
i love my sharp microwave. its steel inside and out, microwave, convection fan oven and grill. cost around £310 two years ago. like you i had a microwave that had kept on going for years and years, then had a new kitchen and decided that we would treat ourselves to new microwave. i use the oven part of microwave alot, its quicker to heat up than the traditional oven, and because its at eye level, its easier to lift things in and out of it. i also do alot of roasts on part micro, part oven, and the meat is soooo tender. joint of beef to feed five 30-35 mins. i really cannot praise it enough.
dont know whether its any easier to clean inside tho being s/steel, but doesn't look as bad as white does.
hth, happy shopping! don't forget to haggle for price matches etc!!!

No idea what it's like but ALDI have a 3-in-1 Stainless Steel combination microwave oven as one of their bargains next Thursday (In leaflet). It's a conventional oven and grill too.
850Watt Microwave
1Kw Convection Oven
1.4Kw Grill
The make is "Delta". It looks OK in the picture. £64.99 with 3 year warranty0 -
Sounds like a good dealespecialy with 3 year warranty. How do they do it ?.
I am sure if you tried to purchase a component to repair a microwave it would cost more than 60 quid.0 -
I recently bought one of these from ebay (item number 4432740719) Its large enough, its all stainless, its a grill, its a convection over and it arrived in 3 days, well worth it - Good seller too.The quicker you fall behind, the longer you have to catch up...0

Personally I won't be buying another Sharp one. Mine was one of the cheaper range about £70 a few years ago. After moving home I didn't unbox it till after a year after buying it. When I started using it it developed like burn marks on the inside. I complained to Sharp and they actually new of the problem and replaced it for me which was very kind. However the digital display has nearly disappeared and someone les I know has the same problem with the same model. However I've still got my spare............0

Panasonic, made where you'll get a welcome in the hillside, good customer service too.
Most have a stainless steel cavity, and as they use an inverter and not a transformer they are not too heavy.
My combination makes great baked potatoes in minutes. That gum you like is coming back in style.0
