Freeview gone pink!

Our Thompson Freeview is now colouring every channel pink! We've switched it off for a few hours and then reloaded but it's all still pink. Terrestrial is fine so it's definitely the box. And the guarantee ran out a few weeks ago, typical. Do I declare it officially dead and get a new one or is there anything I can do?

When you say it is pink is that all you see ? Is it a solid pink? Are the setup menus still available or just plain pink ?
Is the freeview channel available via the RF output or are you using the scart output of the box. Do you have any video devices that may be in confict with each other ?
It is ok to quote the model number as well as the manufacturer.

check your scart cable, my TV keeps going yellow cos the cable's loose.

Thanks for the suggestions.
The picture is tinted pink so we can still watch, just in pink. We unplugged it last night and as I type it's now green. Maybe it's just choosing a colour a day and going thru the spectrum? Who knows what colour it will tomorrow? The excitement mounts.......

Sounds like a dodgy SCART connection. Push the connectors in firmly at both ends or try another cable.

can report a dodgy scart now secured. Normal viewing resumed. Thanks sssoooooo much for your help. You've probably saved us money we can ill afford right now and averted an ill tempered mrs math for christmas. Believe me, you don't want to go there!!!
