  • That's a very comprehensive breakdown. I'm a little stunned, in a good way, at exactly how comprehensive. ;) I think it's pretty self evident in which areas you could make cutbacks if you were minded to do so.

You have provoked some post New Year Eve fireworks pondering at how much my glass of wine after work habit, and buying pretty things from The Pier habit would add up to over a twelve month period.

I fear that I am not self disciplined enough, or brave enough, to find out.

On what? That's a big mystery hole there.

Going by the OPs overspend I would hazard a guess that the £4065.95 is credit card interest @ £250ish a month.

T'is quite scary though. Thinking back that means I've spent over £1000 on horse riding lessons for the DDs in the past year. They won't be going every weekend next year!
Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.50

Thats repayments, including a couple of big lump sum repayments.

Hello jm28, I thought I recognised your name, then I remembered that two years ago you sent me your fabby Excel spreadsheet. I use it every day - it's really helpful. Thanks so much!

I really want to know what the XXX is though....

  • Hi jm28

That's so amazing, I feel a spreadsheet coming on too for sure. Please could you pm me your spreadsheet, without the details, if you like. Would absolutely love to be able to know where every penny I spend goes to. It'll be a serious eye opener.

Thanx and well done with your spreadsheet, it's amazing, motivational and inspirational.

    Cheers
