This time even though I am not supposed to I will keep the details hidden away somewhere but I will not be writing it down just the clues to it.

If you cannot remember "memorable details" (who can) and secure passwords you should be using something like keepass.

This stores all you login details in a single database so you only have one password to remember. Make this a really secure password (several words in a memorable phrase concated together is great - something like "Illikesproutsforbreakfast").

There is a thread about this - it is definitely worth the effort!

My problem was not being able to remember whether I'd capitalised the start of words or not. I think it gave me a different question each time, and I'd probably used a mixture. I got booted out eventually in any case!

So even though it's not as secure* I use only lowercase now.

* It was so secure not even I could get past it ;-)

I never use upper case on case sensitive stuff unless I have to as I always forget things.

It is so secure you have to know the answers which you don't know to get the stuff.

That is where Keepass comes in - put all the information in there and use a single password (which can use password files - can be pictures and allsorts). You can make all the information secure without needing to remember anything other than the Keepass password. I was having difficulty keeping track of online passwords, memorable information etc. Since using Keepass I have never got any of them wrong and they are all truly secure.

It is a very good and useful product.
