You might want to look at this http://www.ebuyer.com/product/152233/show_product_overview, it's £398.89 and for an extra £23 you'll get an HP Carepack 2 year Pick Up and Return
Good luckThere's always someone bigger and better, smarter and stronger but there's only one YOU!:j0 -

please dont tell me i have been paying all this money every month, whats the scam. when husband bought me my original lap top from pc world 2 years ago he got talked into taking the performance agreement and he signed up there and then telling me when he got home how much of an necessity it would be and for £7.99 a month it would be worth it as being housebound i heavily relied upon it and we didnt want to be stuck with expensive repair bills so i reluctantly agreed although seeing it come out of the bank every month really stung. as it happened we had it in workshop almost constantly for 2 years so husband said bet you are glad we took it out now. well couple of months ago it went again and really lost my rag and was finally given some vouchers to replace machine. i went and bought the new dell today and they asked again about signing up for the performance agreement. i said surely its covered for first year anyway isnt it? plus barclays gives you an extended year cover on anything electrical over the price of £25 so i thought i had it sussed and he then said oh no only the hardware is covered. well at time just wanted to get home and said i would phone tomorrow and set it up as was scared about big repair bills especially now on my own. but now i have read this am wondering if i was being scammed could someone fill me in please???0 -
Don't shoot the messenger!
I thought the other thread was worth referring to as it seems like a variation of the old extended warranty routine on which the sales person gets a good commission. What cover do you need on your software that you cant get help and advise from the experts on this forum?
Personally if I wanted a Dell with an extended warranty I'd go directly to Dell and not PC Dixon's World. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -

ah i will look into that did not know you could get it directly from them. reason in first place was that am complete novice so was worried something would go wrong and i would not know what to do. as it turned out i was right there was just one problem after the other the main one being power going or screen just blacking out every now and again. any info on extended warranty for software gratefully received as not looking forward to setting up direct debit again for £7.99 a month i really cant afford it!0
