A&L have lots of accounts - presume that you mean eSaver Issue 2? If so, the reduction was announced on 23rd December on eMoneyfacts - https://www.emoneyfacts.co.uk/news/savings-news.aspx?newsarticleid=180080

This is the one that we are in for £50 after 12 consecutive months of £100? Hmm. Will just have to watch it, but if you add on the £50 cashback (taxfree), it's still not a bad rate.

Thanks for the info. The last time I looked, the rate was 4.89%, so it's sad it's come down again.

Isn't that the NatWest e-Savings account?

Well, I'm muddled. It was that last glass of champagne that did it. Did we go into the A&L one for the good interest rate? Is it just pointless to be in it now?

I've got a £1000 stoozing in there, so marginally still OK. But could also have the money in my Egg Money card account at 4% too (apart from possibility of spending it).

    Thanks
