    Two options:

Grab the longest 0% on purchases card you can (eg 12 months with the Tesco 'in-store' special)...

    http://www.stoozing.com/purchases.php

Or, for a circa 3% fee, grab a super balance transfer card (eg 16 months with Virgin Money), and transfer the cash at 0% to your current account...

    http://www.stoozing.com/sbt.php

Option 1 gets you section 75 purchase protection. Option 2 doesn't!
  • thanks for the info makes this easier on the head :D

Just an aside, and sorry if I'm interfering, but £1300 for a computer sounds very very steep? Considering you could pick up a decent one for around £500?

You mention college course so I will take time to mention that if you don't have an income it will be hard to get a 0% card, or indeed any card.

Check out student offers, as they can get you a good discount on software and hardware if you play your cards right!

PS I hope you don't spell like that in real life, otherwise you won't get far on the course! ;-)

You might think you can afford it, but what you think and what the bank thinks are 2 very different things. Also, what credit have you had before?

What about parents or a family member getting the card and you repaying them?

Assuming such a PC is a 'need' and not a 'want' of course?
