tyres for a vaux vectra

hi

i need some help with getting tyres the size that is on the car are 215/65R16 W
but these are really expsencive any where ive looked on line would be ok to put on 215/55R16W instead

    The 55 or 65 relates to the profile of the tyre, and altering that can actually change the overall size of the tyre and in return give incorrect readings to the speedo and in other cases rub on parts of the bodywork etc.

    In other words, dont do it!

    tit, i entered wrong size. im sure op could use the link to check the correct size they require.
    and for the record you can change the profile safely, but thats a whole different story...

    the 215 65 16 is showing up as 4x4 tyre,make sure its a normal car tyre you are being quoted for and not a 4x4 tyre.

    Strange for a Vectra to be on 65's...!! Normally the 215 goes with 55 profiles...

    hi harvey

    i just checked wheel on the car they are 55 profile i took the size of a recipet that vauxhll gave me as the car was in getting recall work done they did a one of the health checks
