This player has a front usb connector, either to directly attach a usb memory stick or a card reader to read flash memory cards. I know its still not confirmed but with this feature i'd would be very surprised if it did'nt display jpegs.

This player DOES NOT have a USB interface, or an I-link (camcorder) interface. For info, it's a Cello DR-810 and multi-region out of the box.

It does play CDs (haven't tried a DVD) with JPG files on - I've tried a "homemade" CD and one from Kodak and it worked fine.

Thats contrary to various spec available on the net then (and the picture posted in the first post of this thread):

    And HERE

Looks like the version the co-op have is a bit cut down in those respects then :(

I repeat, it does not have USB or I-link - there is only ONE set of front connections (Cinch phono).

The info obtained at those Taiwanese websites must be for a newer/worldwide version.

In my local Co-op (WoodstocK) these are still scanning at £79.99.
  • Still some left at Brighton (Hove...actuallly! by the Greyhound stadium...) on Wednesday at least. A great deal even if the machine breaks down in a years time! Seems better made than that, guess time will tell!
  • P.S. Scanning at £49.99 at Hove!

Does it record from RGB in or is it just RGB passthrough on this model? I would like to hook it up to my Sky Digtal box for recording. Thanks ;)
  • Spotted about 5 of these on the shelf at lunchtime Sunday - marked up at £49.99. Also cheap DAB radio and £29.99 Freeview box (Cello too).

    Buntingford Co-Op, North East Herts.

Six of these left in the Histon Road co-op in Cambridge. I would buy one, but I don't know if it records using using RGB scart.......... ;)
  • They are also selling these at Alldays stores in Hampshire (owned by the Co-op) for £49.99.

Saw them stacked up above the ciggy counter this morning.

    Steve.
