Hello, pp is right - doesn't always mean they are in the sale - sometimes items are highlighted a few days in advance of a sale. These will go down when the sale starts properly or when the items are further reduced, and sometimes things have been highlighted by mistake and have never been in the sale at all.Jakejakejake wrote: »A question for matalan staff, do the items with a highlighted number on the tag mean that its in the sale?
Happy shopping everyone!0 -
Just back from my local store in Luton. Got 2 bags full of bargains. Mainly tops and jumpers - all 75% off:DI also bought a pair of shoes for £2.50 There's not much left though and you have to be lucky to find stuff in your size. Lots of size 8s (I wish!) and 16+ but not many 12-14s left:rolleyes: I was after a coat, but didn't see any
probably sold out yesterday when the 75%off sale started.
Hi passion8:hello: (see you on the boots thread in a minute:D )
your local store sounds good. I didn't see anything for £1 is it one of those clearance stores? I've been to the one in wolverhampton. It's a bit hit and miss. Some times it's great and other times it's rubbish.0 -

Sorry for the delay Sally
I felt a bit delicate yesterday:rotfl:
It was displayed as a "£1 event" in the store I went to, so it might have been local
There's probably not much left now, but if anyone's still looking for decent but cheap scissors, Sainsbury's were selling a pack of 3 different sized scissors as a set, for 99p :j hths Oh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive. ~ Sir Walter Scott0 -

I went in yesterday and got some brilliant bargains - the best bit was that some stuff was even cheaper at tills than it was marked at. Got a 'Letta to Santa' set which was originally £1.50 down to 75p but at till came out as 38p!!
Also had this happen with an In The Night Garden baseball cap for my DD at 80p although it was only discounted to £1.50 on ticket.
Had to really hunt though and there wasn't much in the ladies section (although may need just one more trip to confirm!) Jan 2008-Paid 74% of debt as of MAR 2012 (DFD - APR 2014) DMP Support Thread Member 154  DFW Long Hauler 116
