Matalan now 75% off instore

I was at my local one today - they were just putting the signs up outside, and they had a few racks showing the 75% off.

For example, from the 75% off racks I picked up a girls lined and hooded winter coat for £3.50, they had lots of sizes, boys and girls. They also had lots of character pjs/nighties, including Hannah Montana, HSM, Disney princess, they were around £1.50 to £2 at the 75% off price. Lots of Christmas cards and decorations also showing at 75% off.

I also picked up some items from half price rails, which when I paid, came up at 75% (womens underwear).

Seemed to be still lots of sale stock at my Matalan.

I got a few things today, princess xmas cards 50p a box. great for kids for next year. Head jogging bottoms 2.50 instead of 10.00.

I was in the Matalan at Kingswood (Hull) yesterday, and there was some great bargains. There was also a few people that were filling the trollies up with masses of £1 clothing items, so I gave the clothing a miss. A lot of it was only worth a small percentage of that, but don't let that put anyone off. It was hit or miss but I couldn't be bothered to look through it all tbh.

The straw beach bags (brown and pink) were great for £1.00 though.

But for next Christmas and New Year, they were selling most stuff for 75% off, and in some cases, even less. Candles that we'd bought half price the day before were down from £6 to £3 to £1.22 etc spring to mind, and waste bins were down from £8 to £1.00

Pairs of gift socks were down to £1 a pair and £1 for 2 pairs from £3.00 and scissors and knives were 75% (or more) off their original price, and they were good soft-handled grip ones, and unless Kingswood were having an extra special sale, I'd defy anyone to find some things cheaper and such good value - on scissors and knives especially

I'm trying to be careful about what I buy now, but I was pleased with everything I bought - even the New Year's decorations that I only just had time to put up but can be put up at any party imho -they went from prices like £16 to approximately £2 ...!

A question for matalan staff, do the items with a highlighted number on the tag mean that its in the sale?

no not nececarily as i picked up item last week,and it had purple score through the tag got to till and it was full price asked the assistant and she said no the score does not mean its half price .
hope this helps do not work for matalan
