He's had a few sips, for being good!! Actually, It's a bottle we've had in the fridge for about 2 years and I want to celebrate 2009 cos it can't be worse than 2008!! And it's Tesco's own label that costs less than all the others and won a contest for flavour. Why am I trying to justify it??? It's lovely and we're getting quietly sozzled on the sofa.:D:D:D
I have a couple of bottles of champagne but afraid to open them we've had them so long.:o:o:o

  • We went to empty our caravan the other day in case the OR wants it, and I found a bottle of bubbly that's been there for about 3 years! And a bottle of Gallo wine from 2002! Not sure if cheap champagne and wine keep for that long, but we'll try them some time - they might have made nice vinegar by now!!

Gosh, I'm sounding like we drink champagne all the time - we don't, honest! (I wish!)

We used to drink it all the time (pre kids that is) but it gives me a terrible hangover thats why the bottles we have are so old they were gifts.

  • Just want to wish every one a happy healthy debt free 2009, this is first time I've signed on in over 2 months as I was struck down with a brain infection at the beginning of Nov which initially left me with memory, speech, visual and concentration problems. However normal :p functions are back now and no permanent damage to brain has resulted so I've a lot to be thankful for and I am. Another thing I have to be thankful for is the help both me and my friend received from this forum in 2008 and the wonderful people on it so a big thank you to you all:D :T:j

Oh EO I'm glad you're fully recovered. How on earth do you get a brain infection? Your typing looks good anyway!

    :j :j

  • From an infection somewhere in my body that moved through the blood stream through to the brain. At first they thought meningitis but lumbar puncture ruled that out. I had stroke like symptoms but MRI and CAT scan ruled that out and the fact that the most severe symptoms started to disappear once I went on IV antibiotics indicated infection in the brain. Lol at typing....thank God that's ok....I need that for work as it's mainly clerical I do!:rotfl:

EO, well done on your recovery, that on top of everything else would have knocked a lesser mortal for 6, glad you got through it.
